Escaping the Lifetime Rut

Life style established over a life time are automated...actions we do without thinking about them. When we do something new or outside of what we have "always done", we feel "uncomfortable" and we automatically drift back to without thinking about it, to the "known comfortable" we have always done.,

Habits are some of the strongest emotional forces we humans have to deal with, and successfully breaking or changing what we have always done are one of life's most difficult tasks. But the job can be made easier: eliminate your old anchors and triggers, watch for thought-habit creep, and start fresh.

Always being new

Have you ever spent some time traveling? Apart from the usual excitement and interesting things, you find it challenging to do things and look at life differently.

Like Moving To A Foreign Country

This major life style change, is going to be like moving to a foreign country.
When in Rome, do what the Romans do was the old saying....

After 21 Days It Will Feel "Comfortable".
What You Have Been Doing Is Following And Caught In a Rut.

Eating breakfast is an example of a rut; something you have done thousands of times is an example you can relate to of something to change that is often EXTREMELY hard pattern to get out of.

Hell, most of us have been in a life style rut with our selves for scores of years, in fact often our entire lives - so long we imagine that this is the way it ALWAYS is, and always will be. Uh, no.

If there's one thing you should know by now, it's that changing your life style is the biggest toughest job you will ever undertake. But once you commit...you can do it...

Who and what is going to be your biggest toughest and only adversary to your succeeding in your ultimate test...can you do it?
You...you alone and your established rut..... That is who.....

It does not matter if the life style changes you make are dramatic or humble, - you need to SEIZE THIS OPPORTUNITY. It can change and SAVE your life.

Don't be lazy NOW

Given half a chance, your mind will slip back into it's usual always "done this" state. It's known and comfortable and, no matter how fresh your environment, the second you get a reminiscent EMOTION - say, nervousness - your mind will want to revert you to go back to doing what you have always done before.

In truth, you've got a particular split-second you need to be on guard for - the first one. That first slide. You need to RECOGNIZE it as it happens

Step one: admit the problem

Are you in a problem in making major life style changes like a major life time diet change? Is it minor - like 'I just can not give up "ice cream"? Life just would not be worth living" if I continue to stop doing what I have always done...enjoying my nightly ice cream with all those delicious toppings.

You are giving up a "habit". Something in a pleasurable "pattern" you have "always done".

The smoker gave up his "pleasurable habit" that was killing him.
Now that he has successfully broken free of this "habit", he now finds life can be just as pleasurable without it.
In fact he now finds many unexpected benefits that did not occur to him during the time he was going thru the agonizing habit change period.
Unexpected benefits that far exceed the temporary pleasures he got from smoking
Life Style Change Is Like the Smoker
You Succeed Changing The Habit, or You Fail. There is no "gray area".
Life Style Change..... You Can However Ease Into It....
Like major lifetime diet change example." Start with breakfast.
Then...
Ease in over a week or two in doing other meals etc.

Remember, no back sliding....once established.(like the smoker sneaking in just a few "Puffs".) (starts the 21 days all over again.)

After 21 days, your new life style will "feel comfortable" and for the first time feel "Right". You will longer feel the dire need to go back to doing what you have always done.
It will have become a "part" of the new you.
